Day by Day Itinerary

  • Arrival at Château de la Borde

    Arrive by 6:30 pm. Enjoy an aperitif while you discuss the week ahead, followed by gourmet dinner at 8 pm. The hotel is a 35-minute drive from Blois Train Station.

  • Chambord

    Ride along the Grand Canal with spectacular views of Château de Chambord. Enjoy the beautiful sand paths of Boulogne and Chambord forest. Afternoon walking tour of the largest and most magnificent Loire Valley castle, commissioned by King Francis I in 1519, famous for its double helix staircase built from Leonardo da Vinci's sketches.

  • Beauregard to Cheverny

    Ride through Boulogne Forest to Château de Beauregard — enter through the front gates on horseback. Tour this 16th-century estate famous for its Portrait Gallery of 327 historic figures. Gourmet picnic with foie gras. Afternoon ride to Cheverny vineyards and the estate of the Marquis de Vibraye with its 100-strong pack of hounds.

  • Château de Chaumont & Gardens

    Cross peaceful Loire Valley countryside to the Beuvron River. Afternoon ride to Château de Chaumont-sur-Loire, a fairytale castle central to the famous rivalry between Catherine de Medici and Diane de Poitiers. Explore the castle's sprawling grounds, magnificent stables, and exquisite gardens.

    Overnight: Le Clos d'Amboise (spa)

  • Chaumont to Amboise

    Visit Chenonceau's beautifully furnished rooms, then ride along the Cher River with unforgettable views of the iconic arches. Lunch in the château's elegant Orangerie. Afternoon ride to Château d'Amboise — enter via the medieval Porte des Lions, just as the kings once did. Leonardo da Vinci spent his final years here.

  • Chenonceau

    Private visit to Château d'Amboise overlooking the Loire Valley. Free time in charming old town or visit Clos Lucé, Da Vinci's final residence. End with a beautiful ride along the banks of the Cher, passing beneath the iconic arches of Château de Chenonceau. Farewell gourmet dinner.

    Breakfast at Château de Noizay followed by your departure at any time. Transfers available for Amboise train station or Saint Pierre des Corps.
